Itinerary :

Day 1 Agra

The tour would start around noon with a chauffeured car picking you up from the hotel you would be staying in. Later in the afternoon, we will visit the Agra Fort.

We would then continue on to visit the Taj Mahal. With its incredible lacy white grandeur, the Taj Mahal is perhaps the most perfect architectural monument in the world. To the poet Tagore it was a ‘tear in the face of eternity’.

Our local expert will explain the history and architecture of these monuments, and the lives of the interesting people who built them. You can also spend some time by yourself at the Taj Mahal to enjoy its beauty.

Return to the hotel in the evening

Day 2: Agra-Vrindavan-Mathura-Agra

Breakfast in Agra:

After break fast in Agra, we proceed for the excursion to Mathura and Vrindavan ( approx a half an hour drive). Our local expert would accompany you in the car from Agra to Mathura and continue on to Vrindavan (11 kms form Mathura).

We would pass the woods where according to legends, Lord Krishna frolicked with the Gopis and tenderly wooed Radha. We’d also learn more about this cow-herding community where he spent his childhood.

Proceed to Vrindavan and Mathura: In Vrindavan, we’ll continue the Holi celebration in full glory with a visit to the famous Banke-Bihari Temple. The crowd’s enthusiasm for their beloved Lord Krishna can only be seen to be believed. Hindu priests would throw coloured water and marigold garlands over the devotees.

We’d watch the town come alive with lots of color play and folk theater re-enactments in the streets. After our share of bright colors and fun and play, we would return to Mathura in the afternoon.

Lunch will be arranged in a local restaurant.

After lunch, we will witness the Holi celebration at the Sri Krishna Janmbhumi. The skies will be brilliantly colored by gulal and abir along with flower petals which create an extremely vibrant scene. The celebrations continue till the twilight hours enveloping the entire Janmabhoomi premises with beautiful colors announcing the onset of phagun.
